Hobbybook is operated by Sawyer Wright, Huntington Station, New York (“we”). Using it means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use it.

1. What it costs right now

Nothing. Early access is free and takes no payment details. There is no subscription, no trial that turns into a bill, and nothing to cancel. If we ever start charging, we will say so clearly, ask you to agree first, and never convert a free account into a paid one on its own.

2. Prices are estimates, not appraisals

We would rather show you nothing than show you a number we cannot stand behind, and the app is built that way: when it cannot match your card confidently it tells you so instead of guessing. That is a design choice, not a guarantee of accuracy.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, use it with a parent's permission.
• Give us a real email address — it is how you confirm the account and how you get back in if you forget your password.
• Keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
• One person per account. Early-access codes are for the people we hand them to, not for publishing.

4. Your cards and your photographs are yours

You keep everything you put in. We claim no ownership of your photographs or your collection data. You give us permission to store it, show it back to you, and pass a photograph to our scanning provider so it can be read — and nothing else. We do not use your photographs to train anything, and the provider we use does not either.

If you create a share link, you are choosing to publish what it points at to anyone holding it. If you turn on Share my sales, you are choosing to contribute anonymised sale prices to a shared pool; that is off unless you turn it on, and turning it off deletes what you contributed.

5. What you may not do

• Break into, overload, scrape or work around the limits of the service.
• Upload anything you do not have the right to upload, or anything unlawful.
• Use it to misrepresent a card to somebody else.
• Resell or redistribute the price data you see here. It comes to us under licences that do not permit that.

6. Early access can change

This is early software. Features will change, allowances may change, and we may end early access. We will give reasonable notice before shutting anything down, and you can export your whole collection at any time from Settings without asking us.

7. Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. It removes your collection, photographs and records, and there is no undo. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we do, we will tell you why where we can.

8. No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

Hobbybook is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any price shown is correct. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or any indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us — which, during free early access, is nothing.

Nothing here removes any right you have that cannot lawfully be removed.

9. Other people's trademarks

Pokémon and related names are trademarks of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. and The Pokémon Company. Magic: The Gathering is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast. Hobbybook is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them, or by eBay, Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, PSA, BGS or SportsCardsPro. Card images in your collection are photographs you took.

10. Changes to these terms

If these change we will update the effective date above, and email you before anything material takes effect.

11. Where disputes go

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Suffolk County, New York.
